cafe day

so i came home yesterday (Monday), and the power went out for the rest of the night. it came back around midnight and went out again this morning.

it was much too hot at home so Marlan and i went out for ice cream at a cafe. Chi Lan recommended we try Thao Nguyen Xanh (Green Meadow), since it's new and pretty. it was new alright and pretty empty, which we like. but the ice cream was alright. we got one that was called "Pinocchio," and it came out looking like a snowman. it was cute.

cafes are huge here. there are at least two or three cafes on every block. they're great to relax in, especially the big ones like Thao Nguyen Xanh, which is hidden away in an alley way and away from the traffic noise. they're pretty great for relaxing.
