Christmas Day Gathering

This picture belies the truth behind it.  Don't get me wrong, we had a very good few ours in the middle of the day when my sister served up a most excellent lunch.

Unfortunately, the ranges of dementia impinged on the start at the end of the day.  We are used to that now, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with - especially the stress levels are already high.  Mom refused to get up this morning - i managed to persuade her at about 1pm.  Then by 6pm Mom was desperate to come home.  At these times she becomes a totally different woman and it is not pleasant.

Anyway, we have survived, and we have this lovely shot of Mom and Dad to focus our memories of the day.
