A lovely bit of wood

My wife gave me two bits of wood today, one a table lectern for a bible, the other this lovely shelf for the books at my bedside.

I have several books, you see, ready to read. But I so rarely actually read them, but my wife nonetheless moves them from the floor or chair when cleaning, replacing them afterwards.

Each piece was handmade of beautiful wood, delightful to the touch as well.
