Boxing Day

Boxing Day is usually recovery day for many people and it certainly was for us today. It took quite an effort to manage the trip to Melbourne and with all of the excitement of Christmas Day we both felt it was a good strategy to lay low. Time to catch up on some sorting of photos and for watching a very boring first day of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. I felt sorry for the thousands of people sitting for hours in the hot sun watching grass grow!!

I took this image as we wandered through Crown Casino to the Food Court. We always make a beeline for the Cucina who serve delicious pasta dishes. I couldn’t believe the children that were in the building. I feel sure the gambling area is off limits, but even so, it was amazing to think that parents would want them anywhere near the place.

Tomorrow we’re going to Acko’s new restaurant Kingyo Azakata in Moonee Ponds. We can’t wait to share in her excitement and from the initial reviews it looks like it will be a winner.
