a time to plant

Santa had been good to D and brought him (amongst other things) 80 daffodil bulbs. I think he must have got them cheap because as everybody knows, September is the proper time to plant them. Anyhow, with Christmas over and the days getting longer (!) we decided to put them in the ground this afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing their cheery yellow heads nodding in the Springtime..
