The Holiday Classic
We thought we’d miss all of Nik’s (#20) HS basketball holiday tournament by going to the island but hark, since we are here ( and still sick...) we got to watch the first really good game against a Canadian team from Kelowna..( who had to travel on xmas day to get here) They traded the lead the whole game but ended up 3 points behind after the first overtime. (Making more free throws would have cinched it!) We will not make the next game early tomorrow morning however. (if they'd won it would have been a later time...) Maybe friday.
From the Vancouver Sun today “ Power has been restored to 99 per cent of people affected by massive windstorms in British Columbia last Thursday (there were 600,000) leaving just 6500 customers in the dark. 900 crew members are working to repair the system., 120 crews on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, which sustained more extensive damage so they will take longer…up to Dec 31.” !! That would be us. We may have to change our plans again. Not real anxious to be up there this time of year with no power, but we’d sure like to see what it looks like! (After we feel a little bit better.)
Played with some gym photos in my other journal..
