Boxing Day match at the Riverside . . . and a Boxing Day scenario that I should be used to after 50 years !
Biggest home crowd of the season as 30,000 + fans drop in for a game against Sheffield Wednesday, a team near the bottom of the league who have just sacked their Manager.
Weather grand . . . footballers totally absent . . . skill levels zero . . .and a 1-0 defeat to a team who attacked just twice in the whole game . . . and the goal was scored by an ex-Boro player. Everyone is upset . . . regular Boro Supporters have seen it all before . . . too many times.
We play the team at the bottom of the League at home on Saturday . . . at least there will be more space to move as the stayaways will be at home. After that match . . . I may need a drink . . .
