fire damaged pub

A quick trip to Southend this morning to brave the sales shoppers and pick up a few bits in HMV with some vouchers - mission accomplished with very little queuing so was very happy with that!

On our walk along the seafront back to the car we got to see what is left of the old Esplanade pub after yet another arson attack :(  The pub has been empty for quite sometime with permission granted to turn it into flats, but nothing seemed to happen to it other than 'mysterious' fires over a number of months, the last of which has really destroyed it. So sad to see
