Birthday HQ

This time Boy 1 gets to have presents and a cake. He's 9 on Sunday but as he'll be having a party with his dad, we had a little celebration with Grandma and Grandpa tonight. Presents were:
1 indoor basketball hoop complete with sound effects and indoor mini basketballs
a selection of cheapie rubber watches (all the rage, apparently)
a minecraft hoodie (minecraft is some sort of computer game)

and two books that he'll be getting on his real birthday - the latest Diary of a Wimy Kid (I really don't like this series but he loves them) and a David Walliams book (I love, love his books - he's like Roald Dahl)

Oh, and Boy 2 received a batman mask as a little "unbirthday" present. He was more than thrilled.

So another good night had by all.

And to round it off, one of my poems has been accepted in an online magazine. I'm dead chuffed!
