Slippery

Walked three miles to meet the school bus and realized I should have given myself more time, given the treacherous conditions under foot.

Only the paths in the Botanical Gardens had been cleared; the rest of the journey I had to step into the road or walk along grass verges to be sure of a safe foothold and keep up a brisk pace.
