January
     The icy stone- 
      a fortress in Siberia

February
      Hall of prisms :
      rain, haar, spindrift

March
     Silence : a stone cell.
      Around,
      Shell choirs, abrim

April
      The sun temple, two lochs,
            dance of sixty stones

May
      The stone : brief
            Inn of a butterfly.

June
        Sea-pink, fish-girl,
           a vigil at a sea wall

July
        Bee blunders from stone to flower,
              heavy, harping
              to the golden city

August
          Whetstone, quern, kiln-
           three harvest stones

September
           One small shadow
            drifts to the door of the stone

October
           A star hangs, a lantern
            at the stones lintel

November
          A host of shadows
           clusters
            About the House-of-the-Dead

December
            Silver key, snowflake, star-wrought.
             Three sea kings
              seek the House-of-Bread
