Lost Shoe

On upper Fifth Avenue in Manhattan (exactly as I found it). I was on the way to the Museum of the City of New York  (5th Ave./103rd St.) for an absolutely wonderful exhibition of early photographs (1945-49) by the film director Stanley Kubrick, when he worked for Look magazine starting at age 20 (!) It included at a good two dozen displays of the actual stories using them in magazine.  One of the most fun photography exhibitions I have ever seen.  It closes January 6th--don't miss it if you are anywhere near.
