Home again.
We left our lovely Christmas cottage this morning to come home. Stopped in Honiton for coffee and a wander around. One of the four had never been for a stroll in this town so we ensured this changed today! Sadly the high street looks a lot like many others with shops shut and a number of charity shops, building societies and banks. No sign of the thriving lace industry of old.
We stopped in Tiverton for a quick lunch and a walk along the river to enable the dogs to stretch their legs. Found a man attempting to fish - he was just setting up so I have no knowledge of whether he was lucky.
Two of the restaurants we'd thought to go to were closed but we did find a small cafe eventually. This 'in-between ' week seems to be giving several businesses a chance to have time out. Hopefully they are in the sunshine enjoying a rest after a busy Christmas time.
We found a very colourful friend in Tiverton!
Now back to the mundane chores and 'normal' life.
Huge thanks to you all for popping in, scattering stars and hearts on my holiday snaps. Greatly appreciated.
