Sale Shopping

Ugggghhhhh.  We have spent a day sale shopping.  A day of no children (kindly looked after by Granny and Grandpa), and we chose to spend it traipsing around John Lewis.  

We looked at TV's, didn't get one
We looked at hoovers  (well, Dysons), didn't get one
We looked at childrens' lamps, didn't get any
We looked at boots (for me), didn't get
Jumpers and boots for the husband, didn't get

Sensing a theme. 

We did get... wait for it.... 

Bed linen
Tupperware (not in the sale).  TUPPERWARE!  I think by that point, we felt we had to buy something. 
And a jug (again, because we felt we had to get something). 

I think we both feel a little deflated by the day. 

On the plus side, we had a nice walk through the Cathedral grounds (today's photo), and the boys had fun at Burghley House with Granny and Grandpa. 

I've just applied for a school place for the eldest, I'm sure, like everyone doing this, it feels way too early and can't quite believe that school is around the corner.
