The power goes on and on

Funny old day today. I set out to make some mince pies but ended up making a christmas cake, flapjack and spaghetti bolognese all at the same time. I have always wanted to be like the TV chefs who have everything ready in little bowls just waiting to be combined. Alas, that is not me. I have boxes and packets and washing up all over the place and my kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it.
