The girls and I were like ships passing in and out of the house between lectures, so there's not a lot to say about today.

This evening was more exciting. Lyds and I danced like loons to ABBA's greatest hits as we prepared dinner (I was chief of vegetable chopping, Lyds was doing the actual cooking).

After delicious food, all three of us wandered down to look at the lights of the Winter Wonderland by City Hall. We saw some very competent ice skaters (i.e. all upright) and a very tall fairground ride - I'm itching to have a go at both of these things, and sincerely hope that Lyds wasn't being sarcastic when she said she'd join me.

My picture today is one of Lydia's roses, as it is currently sitting in a vase on the kitchen windowsill and has a wonderful cheering effect whenever I stop to do the washing up.
