All that remains

These gates caught my eye as they looked like something from a fairy story. A bit of googling brought out the story of Chaddock Hall farmhouse. Grade 11 listed, it was owned by a millionaire who died at just 66. His bride of one year then battled with his family to get her inheritance. The building became derelict and just when it looked to have gained a new lease of life through redevelopment, it was a target for arsonists and gutted. No fairytale ending sadly for this place
