Glasgow Necropolis

In the foreground is a memorial to Walter Macfarlane owner of the Saracen Foundry.
A major employer in  Glasgow  they manufactured  ornamental ironwork.  Items like drinking fountains, bandstands, lamp standards, pre- fabricated buildings and architectural crestings and ornaments. 

There are many examples of his work throughout the UK and also in places like India, Tasmania,  South Africa, Malaysia etc etc.
