Sun, Shadow and Chamois

The only way to avoid crowds on the mountain is to get up early and ski on seal skins (imitation ones) to the top. Sometimes you are rewarded. A moment later these chamois had disappeared behind the ridge. They know when it is time to go, when the skiers arrive.

We just had a lovely surprise visit from SwissPiper and MalcomsEye, who had flown into Geneva and were on their way to Etroubles in Italy. We have often spent New Year year there with them but have Airbnb guests this year.
