A wonderful scent
The name of this shrub has gone out of my mind but it has the most beautiful scent similar to Lily in the Valley. An early source of nectar for the bumble bees, it grows next to our gate and provides colour during the gloomy winter months in the garden.
The weather was mild today and I was able to do some gardening. The weeds have grown everywhere and there are heaps of leaves to be cleared away another day.
In the evening N and I drove over to Sherborne to a party given by my cousin and her husband. It was a nice surprise to find her sister there.
