Greeks and Telescopes

Had an enjoyable evening meeting up with a couple of old OU friends and listening to a talk by one of the people involved in working out how the Antikythera device worked. We then went to the observatory and poked around amongst their collection of large and old telescopes. It was raining so we didn't see anything, but the devices were impressive.
Then we went for a drink and put the world of research and academia to rights. A lovely evening!
