Phoenix

Today I changed my Blipfoto name and journal. I didn't particularly want to but, because of certain things happening in my life at the moment, I felt I had to. I'm not going to go into the whys and wherefores because there's no big drama or anything like that it's just that I simply need to move on from something that's not been making me very happy lately. Anyway, today's image is the logo and sign of the Phoenix Bar in Broughton Street and I've chosen it not because I've turned to the demon drink or anything but because the phoenix symbolises change and today will hopefully be the start of something positive for me.

Ps For those of you who don't know, a gallus besom is an old Scots term for a woman who's a little, how can I put it, bold or cheeky and it was always used by my family as a term of endearment and never in the context of a woman of loose moral standing! I hope you like it.
