A whirl around Whorlton and Swainby
.... that was the title of today's walk from the AA guide.
It took us from Swainby up onto the Cleveland way which runs over the moors above the village. This shot was taken at the highest point. You can see the distinctive outline of Roseberry Topping just to the right of centre, and the industrial landscape of Middlesbrough and Teesside to the left.
A very pleasant walk which was followed by Sunday lunch in the Blacksmiths Arms in Swainby.
