Panurus biarmicus

After a few visits to RSPB Old Moor specifically to see these birds, today I was finally successful. This was the best view that I got through the reeds. The Bearded Tit is neither bearded nor a tit, not the only example of oddly named birds! For example the Puffin has a scientific name of Fratercula arcticus not Puffinus Puffinus which is reserved for the Manx Shearwater. I could go on but I'd very quickly become tediously boring!
