The mild murk continues but we had a very enjoyable long lunch and catch up with Robert, Finola and Gill, then ventured down to Kitchen Cove. All quiet and mizzly.

The Kiwis are now in Wellington - crazy to think Joe was here on Thursday!  The journey so far sounds uneventful and Esme has been impressing everyone with her dimpled smiles and new found raspberry blowing skills.They have the last leg home shortly - a ferry across to the South Island and then a drive over Takaka Hill (which I think is actually pretty huge) and home. The sun is shining.

We're having a Saoirse Ronan fest here and have recently watched Mary Queen of Scots - impressive hairstyles, glowering Scots, slightly loose historical facts and an interesting look at two parallel lives, and On Chesil Beach - an excruciating accurate depiction of its time.
