Sloe

We met our Newcastle friend in Berwick today. It was great to catch up . Their son who we have known since he was 3 got married in Australia in September (He lives there now) so they had lots of news and photos to share. J is E’s godmother so it was nice that E came with us. We used to live near them when we lived there , wonderful friends and although we don’t see them often, it’s like we only saw them yesterday.
E is working tonight so we headed home mid afternoon.
My cousin gave me some sloe gin way back in September. It has been hiding in the wardrobe ever since. So we strained it this evening and I can say it is delicious!!
