Traumatising the wildlife

Doing a soil texture test, as part of my permaculture studies. Did you know that a teaspoon of soil has more living things in it than there are human beings on Earth? You can see a couple of them in the picture, wondering wtf is going on. Poor things, but they were returned safely to the garden and the SSPCA was not required to intervene.

(side note - the bokeh on the Sony E mount 20mm f2.8 when cropped is not especially pleasing, must get a proper macro lens)
