Short Tail takes a dip!

Dear Diary,

Santa Paws did not forget the birds and squirrels this year.  He brought a heated water bowl for them to enjoy but Short Tail thought it was a hot tub and dove in, well, at least his head.  Short Tail is the sweetest and most friendly of my red squirrels.  Even when I use my little blower to clean the seed shells off the porch he sits right there while the others flee.  He has also decided that chewing on the bowl might be a good thing so I'm not sure how long their bowl will last.

It is New Years Eve and the end of a year of both wonderful adventures and horrific news.  Perhaps all years are like that.  Here's hoping that 2019 is one of more happiness than sadness and that it is a year of good health for all!
