Calne (New Year's Eve 2018)
Since the frosty clear blue skies that I was hoping for didn't materialise I limited myself to a walk into Calne in the late afternoon to see how The Calne Swan was doing and found him on the canal Wharf.
The lady who has been feeding and looking after him has done a fine job and since I last saw him he has grown from cygnet to healthy-looking swan.
Since I have blipped a swan on a canal, true to type I thought I might as well further confirm expectations by ending the year with a Smokey blip in Extras. He was on the radio again as I prepared the blip, but hasn't turned it on this time.
Happy New Year to all.
