First snow

The snow has reached south east England.
Normous set off for golf this morning but he didn't get far before he encountered snow, and by the time he got back home it was snowing hard here too. So for me it was coat on and outside with the camera before it disappeared again! Am I childish to find the first snow of the season exciting? Everywhere looks different and even the most mundane things can look beautiful. But I guess it won't be long before the novelty wears off, especially if I have to go out in it.
This snowfall had melted away by noon.
