Mooching

A peaceful day with a gentle start, followed by a long, lonesome mooch around Old Sulehay NR photographing lichens (see extra), mosses, fungi and even some golden terrestrial algae. I saw hardly anyone else and it was wonderful! And there were even more signs of spring - the first male goat willows bursting out of their buds. There'll be catkins very, very soon.
