Happy New Year

Emptied the washing basket this morning and got all of it dried and put away.  It's something my Mum liked to do on New Year's Eve, so that you could start the new year with clean clothes and linen.  No idea why, but I've always done it too, which is how family traditions are started:-)

Have done nothing else except eat Christmas goodies and now I feel a bit queasy, so I won't be staying up to ring the bells in.
