A bit of a tospy turvy day today.

After getting some inter-connects and speaker cable for Patrick from Richer Sounds this morning (he got a  new Pioneer cassette deck for Christmas off Santa), Tom & Em popped over with their dad for the usual coffee, catch-up and WiiU playing. The only difference this time round being that their Grandad has been rather poorly and has been bed bound for a while. Things got a bit manic when they stayed for longer than we thought they would as Patrick's five (older) mates turned up for a evening in (games, mobiles, music, dinner, cards, drink, chocolate, guess the tune, crisps and laughter). The noise was pretty crazy all evening, but in a nice way of course. Tom, Em and Ian left before the elders had their tea after much talking of the emotions of their poorly Grandad.

About an hour due to taking the chums back to their parents, we received the dreaded news. Tom & Em's Grandad had passed away in his sleep. It was half past ten by the time I dropped them all off and finally we could tell Patrick.

It was a long day. We said our prayers.
