Tiny Tuesday - Out With The Old
....and in with the new! :o)
Firstly, hope you’ve had or are having a great first day of 2019 ;o)
Part of ours was a nice walk down by a part of the river we haven’t been to for a while. A lot of the eucalypt leaves were covered with lerps which are like a small lice and they cover themselves with a casing called a scale or a gall. https://www.agric.wa.gov.au/sites/all/modules/custom/seed_tools/pestweb/907120914.html
This old leaf is still on the tree, covered in galls and it looks like the lerps have evacuated through those holes in each gall. I find it fascinating, others may not have the same feeling ; o)x
Just to show the difference, in extras are some lovely new leaves on the same tree with just a little bit of damage on the tip of one. (Isn’t it nice to have a fresh 100 extras again yay!! :)
We’ve had some unexpected visitors tonight so i’ll have to catch up with you all tomorrow.
Thanks to Kanga Zu for taking up the hosting for TT!! :o)x
