Blowing the cobwebs away

Mum hopefully on the mend so took myself off for a stroll along the Bridgewater canal. Completed in 1761, it brought coal to Manchester from the mines in Worsley. The world and his wife were out but I found a quiet moment and some reflections between the buggies, scooters and New Year's Resolutioners. Most people exchanged happy new years and a smile when they passed so I've more than caught up on any I missed yesterday.
