Wintersweet

Late sunshine lit up the Wintersweet that grows too close to against the back of the house.  This is a shot through the open window - the flowers just a few inches from the glass but the shot much cleaner without the grimy glass!

Another quiet day at home.  Delicious lunch jointly prepared which included in home grown shallots in port wine and creamy mashed swede, both scrumptious and complementing the home made chicken pie perfectly.  The sunset hour was good, well spent in the summerhouse - fleece and blanket! - nibbling the After Eights Ruth gave me for Christmas and reading.  

Real life starts up again tomorrow.
