New Year's Day at Broughty Castle

A lovely, clear day

We had a quiet Hogmany, our daughter was staying with us but she had to be up very early for work this morning. We did watch the musical version of Les Miserables which made us all the more keen to see it in an Edinburgh theatre in a month's time.

This morning I watched Andy Murray's return to big time tennis. Although he won, I am not sure how long he will be able to continue at this level.

In the afternoon, my wife and I went for a walk round Broughty Ferry Castle which was looking great in the winter sunshine.

I trust that you all have a happy New Year, even though there is so much uncertainty around.
