Small cookie

Day full of traditions: trying to wake up at the same time as the kids (who both slept through the noise of the fireworks), then finding that your alcohol resistance isn’t what it used to be and that a small hangover has found its place, and then visiting parents and grandparents on both sides to give the best wishes until you get home again just before dinner...
My mum-in-law always has a gift: a traditional new-years cookie, made by a local bakery. The only surprise each year is the size she chose. This year is a good year ;-)

The text reads ‘Gelukkig Nieuwjaar’, it translates to ‘happy new year’ which is exactly what i wish all of you. I hope it will be an exciting funny wonderful year with lots of health and very satisfying photography for all of you. Thanks for the warm welcome I have received at blip in the last three months!
