ooooh?bottles

today has been a great day! i woke up this morning to an amazing feeling - feeling well! yippee! work was painless and this afternoon we went to check out all the things that had been dredged out of pistol pond. i was so fascinated with the victorian bottles, containers, bowls, plates etc that i swear i could have spent my whole life rooting through the mud to try and find more of these exciting objects :-) however we were told that this afternoon's task was to carry on clearing turf from the walled garden in preparation for the new border and path...this was surprisingly good fun, especially using the turf cutter! what an amazing piece of kit that is...and then it died! it was a gorgeous sunny but freezing afternoon, (but i was very grateful to get some daylight) and was completely covered in mud by then end of it. it was all rounded off nicely with a big water fight :-)
