New Years Day

Today is not only the first day of the year but it is also a personal blipversary as I decided 4 years ago today to try and post a blip every day for a year ! And now I’m starting Year 5! We’ve had a lovely lazy sort of day.....collected mum about 1 after saying goodbye to the friend who stayed over last night. Then our traditional steak pie meal ( traditional in Scotland to have steak pie on NYD - I think it may be a leftover from the days when Hogmanay was a night of great carousing and the pie and mash could be ready the day before). My sister started our personal family tradition of putting the date on the pie.
The day was then spent watching TV and relaxing :)
The blip also has the first buds to appear as the world turns and the seasons move on.
