high & dry
The day started with a drama - 8.45am call from the Teenager to tell me his car skidded off the road on ice while he was driving to college.
No harm done - it ended up on the grass verge, but he needed help to get it out of the snow/grass/mud.
The morning had a comedy note to it as well. I went into the Polish deli to buy bread, and the assistant spoke to me in Polish. Some giggles ensued, for both of us.
The afternoon was calm.
Some giggles in the bank as well, mind you. I got my pay-in wrong by £1 - lots of coins, and I'm pretty innumerate at the best of times. An ideal club treasurer really. The teller is getting used to it. I'm one of her regular innumerates.
Oh, and giggles in the coffee shop when I handed over £10 and walked off without waiting for change.
A cheery wee day, I suppose.
The Blip - boats at the harbour. Loved the gold of the afternoon sun in December, and all the other colours at this grey time of year.
