Helen's birthday

Been in the Cotswolds today spending time with a friend to celebrate her birthday.

Lazy start to the day, then off to Batsford arboretum for a walk and fresh air - and the air was very fresh.

Then on to Burford for cream tea and retail therapy.

Home now. Hatches battened down. Kettle on. Lots of lovely cheeses, fresh bread, crackers, salmon pâté, grapes and apples waiting to be consumed later, whilst watching a chick flick and drinking something from a bottle.

Lovely, lovely day - no dogs, cats, chickens, children, husband and boyfriend - just us two girls for the first time since we were students, which was a fair while ago.
