Table Manners

I noticed today that the drain outside had blocked up, so the washing up water was overflowing and Mr Blackbird was poking around in the puddle for scraps and getting covered in the process.

The blackbirds in Mum's garden seem particularly tame - even though various health issues have kept her from digging up the garden and uncovering juicy worms for most of the last year.

This particular bird was happy to let me get within a few feet and take it's portrait, it also gave me a few other opportunities - so one of the days where you are not sure which one to pick:
