German truffles

B and I flew to Frankfurt today for a pre-Christmas break.

We arrived at our apartment hotel around 6pm and after quickly settling in we headed out to Frankfurt's Christmas Market.

It was so lovely to experience the festive atmosphere, there was a huge Christmas tree and a classic carousel. We headed straight for a stall selling bratwurst and sampled our first curry-wurst, washed down with lashings of Gluhwein. We finished off our gourmet feast with waffles and mutzen (little dough balls with sugar).

It was an extremely frosty walk back to the hotel which only added to the Chrismassy feeling.
