Lord Hill's Column - Shrewsbury

seen from the Rea Brook , a minor river that joins the Severn . the area is managed by the Shropshire Wildlife Trust .
the column is of Rowland Hill . 1st Viscount Hill . it's the tallest Doric column in England at 133 ft 6 in . built between 1814 and 1816 .
