in the forest

Another beautiful day. Deep frost on our side of the valley, which is in shadow for most of the day in winter - reminded me of the Selfish Giant's garden! Jess and I took a trip to the opposite side of the Cairn Water where the sun was shining. It's one of her favourite walks and we met some friends and their black lab Lucy, too. It's been nice not to have to drive anywhere or go very far for the past couple of days :-)
