Winter Robin

This little one flew up to me today as I was standing watching for other things. It sat right beside me, moved around a little, and then posed on this post. Two passers by remarked that it looked like it wanted its picture taken.

I love the folklore of robins, that their presence is a visit from loved ones who have passed. Even if not, they are such inquisitive charming little birds.
