8 months!

Wow, time flies! Joti is 8 months today and still the loveliest little thing! She started to crawl on Saturday after having a couple of weeks of pushing herself backwards and rocking up on her arms and knees! She is loving this new freedom she has! She has started to clap hands as well! She just started doing it herself and now if you ask her to clap hands, she does with a big smile on her face! She just loves Spencer! Every time he comes near her she gives him a massive smile and she laughs at him laughing! Spence thinks she is laughing at the silly things he does for her! It's very cute!

Spence has finished Kinder for the year so next year he is a big school boy going into Prep! He is very excited which is good! He has a class party near the end of January then starts a few days later! We got his uniform the other day and he will look very smart!

Spence is obsessed with the tv cartoon Ninjago. He doesn't have any of the toys of it yet (good Christmas presents!!) but makes up games with the different coloured ninjas fighting the baddies! It's very cute!

We are going home for Christmas which is very exciting! We will hopefully leave in a week and a half and make the big drive down! It's 21 hours of continuous driving but obviously we won't do it in one go! We will see how the kids are going but hopefully just stay one night half way and get down there in two days! The people who are renting our house have bought one so they will be out early which is great for us! We will stay for about three weeks hopefully and catch up with everyone!

The weather up here is awesome! We have been in the pool every day usually a few times! Spence, Joti and I went to the beach today in the morning with some friends and played around. Joti ate a bit of sand and spence had a great time sliding down the sand edge into where the river goes into the sea!

There is still almost 2 months before school starts so we try and catch up with friends and have play dates most days otherwise the days are long!! It gets light up here just after 4am and the kids wake up early so it makes for a long day!

Kaz's mum Cheryl is out of hospital and home. They still don't know what is wrong with her but the sores on her legs are a lot better although the legs are still swollen. Kaz's workplace are still being horrible and still haven't paid her anything that she is owed. They are making things up and saying that she isn't entitled to all her pay. It's extremely frustrating and is going through mediation at the moment but it's not looking good.

Kaz has started up a buyers agent business looking for houses for people who don't have the time or knowledge to do it themselves! She does all the research, inspections, negotiating etc to do with the property for the clients! It's everything she loves to do! So she has been up in mackay and blackwater which have mines near them so you can get good rental yield, looking at properties for two clients already! She is also still looking for another job for some stability for us but there isn't much in her field around and heaps of people wanting jobs so it's a bit tricky!

I'm all good after my parathyroid operation, just very tired and it turned out that could have been caused by my thyroid! They are completely unrelated but I happen to have a problem with both! I am on tablets now do hopefully my energy levels will pick up!

I have started running again, only one or two times a week but it's a start! I only go 3 km in about 20 mins but it's good to get out! I sometimes take spence with me in the running pram which he loves! It's hard finding time when Joti is asleep and Kaz is home and it's not too hot!

So, life is still good, has its challenges but we still having fun and loving it up here!!
