Exquisite stitching!

Three friends and I went to an excellent museum art exhibit in another town (San Bartolo Coyotepec). Part of it was textiles and another part was artwork in various mediums, all done by artists under the age of 31. Here different villages do different types of artwork because the techniques are passed down from generation to generation and children start learning at a very young age. Their skill and creativity is always impressive. Daily life is a common theme in their art, and textiles often tell a story.
