The bird didn't find this at all humerus

I should have been out playing music with friends this afternoon but it was cancelled as the pub landlord is ill so I caught up with a few jobs at home.

I went to the castle for a blip and everything was so grey and uninspiring. I then spotted this skeleton of a bird. It had black feathers around it so assume that it's one of the jackdaws that live in the trees there. 

Tonight I'm showing some of my wildlife photos at the social evening at the Wildlife Trust in Ellesmere so being at home this morning gave me extra time to double check the id of some of the trickier ones.  as There'll be people there that are far more knowledgeable than I am so I want them to be right!
